Tent London 23-26 September 2010

The best thing about Tent London was:

Graffito! The worlds first graffiti-jam. Supposedly inspired by 80's Hip-Hop and street art, this App is suprisingly addictive. Superbly interactive, any user can scribble or draw whatever they like and it is projected directly on to the big screen. What is really interesting though is that anyone can also scribble out another users comment. In the same way that street graffiti is considered temporary, and open to constant remix, this constant editing creates a kind of hyper fast street art experiment.
It would be interesting to map each image update on a timeline and see if any kind of community conversation is actually developing, or if users tend to focus only on existing networks (i.e their friend who may also be graffito-ing!).
In my own experience, the speed at which each image updated made the whole experience kind of a battle, where the user picks one adversary and proceeds to scribble over everything they in particular write.
Surely there will be some fabulous marketing executions utilizing this app!
Food for thought...
